Training Levels
Basic Obedience Commands
- Sit: Teaching your dog to place their bottom on the ground on cue and remain there until given the next cue. This is a foundation for building focus and control.
- Down: Guiding your dog to lie flat on the ground, promoting calmness and attentiveness.
- Stay: Helping your dog remain in a specific position, regardless of distractions, until released.
- Come (Recall): Ensuring your dog reliably returns to you when called, a vital safety skill.
- Loose-Leash Walking: Training your dog to walk calmly beside you without pulling, making walks more enjoyable.
- Leave It / Drop It: Teaching your dog to ignore or release something on command, enhancing safety and control.
Proofing Behaviors
Proofing ensures your dog reliably performs commands under various real-world conditions using the 3 D's of Dog Training:
- Distance: Building your dog’s ability to respond to commands from increasing distances.
- Duration: Strengthening your dog’s ability to maintain a command for longer periods.
- Distraction: Training your dog to stay focused and respond accurately despite external distractions, such as other dogs, people, or noises.
